Privacy statement
How R8privacy handles your personal data.
Version 1, 25 September 2026. This is a translation of the Dutch privacy statement. In the event of any discrepancy, the Dutch version prevails.
Who is responsible
R8privacy, Torenlaan 5, 1402 AT Bussum, the Netherlands, is the controller for the processing of personal data described in this statement. You can reach me at madeleine@r8privacy.com or +31 6 87 12 99 96.
When you contact me
When you use the contact form, send an email or call, I process your name, email address, phone number if provided and the content of your message. I only use this data to answer your question and, if you wish, to make a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, or my legitimate interest in answering questions. If no assignment follows, I keep this data for a maximum of 1 year after our last contact.
Messages sent via the contact form are forwarded directly to my email and are not stored on the website.
If you are a client
To carry out an assignment, I process the data needed for it, such as contact details and invoicing details. The legal basis is the performance of the contract. Data required for my accounts is kept for 7 years, as required by Dutch law.
This website
This website uses no cookies, no analytics software and no trackers. Fonts and other components are loaded from the website's own server, so no data is sent to other parties.
The hosting provider keeps technical server logs, such as IP address and time of visit, for security purposes and to keep the website running properly. This data is kept for as long as the hosting provider applies, in accordance with its own privacy statement.
Who I share data with
I do not sell your data. I only use parties that are necessary for my services: GoDaddy for hosting this website and Google (Google Workspace) for email. Agreements have been made with these parties on the protection of your data.
Transfers outside the European Union
Google is a US company, which means your data may also be processed outside the European Economic Area. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision. In addition, Google's data processing terms include the European Commission's standard contractual clauses as an additional safeguard.
Security
I take appropriate measures to protect your data, such as a secure connection (HTTPS), strong passwords and two-factor authentication.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to object and to data portability. To exercise these rights, send an email to madeleine@r8privacy.com. I will respond within one month.
Not satisfied with how I handle your data? You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
